Jekyll and Hyde: Directed by Kent Knutson

An evocative tale of the epic battle between good and evil, Jekyll & Hyde is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic story about a brilliant doctor whose experiments with human personality create a murderous counterpart. Convinced the cure for his father's mental illness lies in the separation of Man's evil nature from his good, Dr. Henry Jekyll unwittingly unleashes his own dark side, wreaking havoc in the streets of late 19th century London as the savage, maniacal Edward Hyde. This production was entered in this year's Hennepin Theatre Trust Spotlight Awards program and won in many categories. To see a list of the awards click HERE. Dead Man Walking
: Directed by Kent Knutson

Written and directed by Tim Robbins, based on the book by Sister Helen Prejean, this is the true story of nun who becomes spiritual advisor to a convicted murderer, while also sympathizing with the victims' families. The play touches upon the universal themes of revenge and redemption, crime and punishment, fear and salvation.

The Imaginary Invalid: Directed by Jim Cada

The Imaginary Invalid is considered one of Moliere's great comedies, in which the entire development of the action is centered around a single trait of character upon which everything turns, in this case, that of the hypochondriac. To tell Argan that he is looking well is considered a rude offense in this household, and the Invalid confuses religion and medicine. There is a sanctity given to medicine that echoes the mysteries of religion. The father wants to marry the daughter off to the person who will do him the most good, in this case, a doctor, who will be able to give Argan free medical treatment!

Oklahoma!: Directed by Kent Knutson

A heartwarming romance, a jubilant comedy, a celebration of the grit and spirit that made America what it is, and a showcase for some of the most beautiful songs ever written… "People Will Say We’re in Love,” “Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin',” “I Can’t Say No,” not to mention the rousing title song! OKLAHOMA! is a show for the entire family, and one you won’t want to miss! A sure fire “how the West was won” hit!

You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown: Directed by Rob Knutson

An average day in the life of Charlie Brown, a day made up of little moments picked from all the days of Charlie Brown, from Valentine's Day to the baseball season, from wild optimism to utter despair, all mixed in with the lives of his friends and strung together on the string of a single day, from bright uncertain morning to hopeful starlit evening.

Damn Yankees: Directed by Trent Boyum

Faust meets professional baseball in this classic Broadway family musical. Light, fast-paced and devilishly clever, Damn Yankees is a home-run hit whose all-American subject matter and irreverent sense of humor have brought many a sports fan into the theatre. This show includes a catchy score filled with rousing production numbers and popular favorites like "Heart" and "Whatever Lola Wants."

Les Misérables (School Edition) An Encore Performance: Directed by Kent Knutson

Join us as we send our talented students to Scotland to perform one of the great musicals ever written. This epic story recounts the struggle against adversity in 19th century France. Imprisoned for stealing a loaf of bread, petty thief Jean Valjean is released from his 19-year term and not only becomes an honest man, but the mayor of a prosperous town and a loving adoptive father - violating his parole in the process. The relentless Inspector Javert, who makes a decent life for Valjean impossible, consequently pursues him. Only years later, after Valjean proves his mettle during a bloody student uprising and saves the life of a young man hopelessly in love with Valjean's adopted daughter, does the ex-convict finally feel fully redeemed. This production sold out in May 2006, and again in August 2007 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival!
