Trent Boyum joined the Minnetonka Arts Center on 7 staff in 2003, bringing theatre, retail and arts management experience from Hey City Theatre, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Ethan Allen, and Aven Theatrics. Trent has worked with local theaters, including The Playwrights Center, Theatre Latté Da, Hennepin Stages, and The Loring Playhouse. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Theatre Directing from Minnesota State University, Mankato and received professional training at the Theatre Conservatory/Chicago College of Performing Arts in Chicago.  

Having previously worked as the theater specialist with Four Seasons Arts Elementary School in St. Paul, Trent is currently working with the award-winning Minnetonka High School Theatre Department and the City of Minnetonka’s Arts Center on 7.  For Minnetonka Theatre he has directed Damn Yankees, Cinderella, Steel Magnolias and Honk!  Trent also created, and is the driving force behind the well-received Arts Center on 7 summer theatre camps, and the Broadway Kids musical theatre program for Minnetonka elementary and middle-school students.
