James Cada* is pleased to perform the role of Scrooge with the Minnetonka Community Theatre. Representative Twin Cities stage credits include: Guthrie Theater: Othello, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Great Expectations; Chanhassen Dinner Theatres: Annie, The Music Man, The Sound of Music, I Ought To Be In Pictures; Old Log Theater: The Odd Couple, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Foreigner, Run for Your Wife; Children’s Theatre: Mr. A’s Amazing Maze Plays; Park Square Theatre: You Can’t Take It With You; Mixed Blood: BleacherBums, JoAnn; Actor’s Theatre of St. Paul: Tartuffe, Three Sisters, Hedda Gabler, How the Other Half Loves; Cricket Theater: Terra Nova; The Brave New Workshop: numerous productions. Mr. Cada has appeared nationally at theaters in Seattle, Denver, Kansas City, Phoenix, Chicago, St. Louis, Boston, and Los Angeles. Representative film credits include: North Country, Factotum, Sweetland, Joe Somebody, Wooly Boys, The Straight Story, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Grumpier Old Men, Iron Will, Untamed Heart. Representative television credits include: Chance of Snow (Lifetime), Lucky Day (ABC), The Faculty (ABC), Married…with Children (Fox), Real Monsters (Nickelodeon). Representative directing credits: Actor’s Theatre of St. Paul, History Theatre, Park Square Theatre, The Brave New Workshop, Jon Hassler Theater, Theatre Cedar Rapids, and Minnetonka High School (his personal favorite!) Mr. Cada is co-author of the play Old Explorers. In 1988 Bill Pohlad’s RiverRoad Productions produced the film version of Old Explorers starring Jose Ferrer and James Whitmore. Mr. Cada lives in Shorewood with his wife, Susanne, and daughter, Olivia. His son, Nicholas Bailey, attends Denison University in Ohio.
